NBN to Establish 240 New Business Fibre Zones

NBN Business Zones

Last week, NBN Co announced that over the next three years, they will establish 240 new Business Fibre Zones, committing $700 million to achieve this goal.

These Business Fibre Zones will help bring high-speed internet to rural and regional areas, such as Devonport, Shepparton, Mount Gambier, and more (full list below).

All of the businesses in these zones will have access to Enterprise Ethernet at a reduced rate, bringing connectivity to more businesses at an affordable rate. In total, 700,000 businesses are expected to be covered by these zones.

“For the first time, any business in an NBN Business Fibre Zone can get the same premium-grade services and the same wholesale prices as those in the centre of our biggest cities,” NBN Co CEO Stephen Rue said.

What does this mean for Australian Businesses?

Rue continued to say, “Access to fast, reliable and secure broadband ensures Australian businesses remain competitive, innovative and relevant in today’s global markets. Businesses are the economic engine of the nation, and it’s vitally important that we support Australian companies, in every location, to help them grow and stay competitive.”

This approach can help businesses expand at lower costs utilising more cloud, video and security services to enhance their business practices.

Calibre One can perform NBN Ethernet Service qualifications on your behalf, we can work between you as the customer, Telstra and NBN to come up with the best price and technology offer available to suit your needs.
