What’s new in Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams Calibre One Adelaide

With Skype for Business Online being retired we thought now would be a good time to highlight some of the Microsoft Teams new features that have been released in the past couple of months.
Below we have summarised a few of our favourite new features.

Microsoft Teams: Meetings & webinars

Reporter and Side-by-Side options in Presenter Mode for desktop and window sharing

You can now choose one of two new modes to suit your needs, enabling a more engaging presentation when sharing your desktop and window:

  • Reporter mode places content as a visual aid above your shoulder like a news story.
  • Side-by-side mode displays your video feed next to your content.

Microsoft Teams: Power Platform and custom development

Together Mode Extensibility

Developers can build custom scenes that elevate the meeting experience. By making Together Mode extensible, creators can create immersive scenes and users can now go beyond simple video conferencing.

Microsoft Teams: Calling

Transfer Calls between desktop and mobile

We have all been in a Teams meeting that has run over time, needing to transfer the call over to the mobile while rushing to get in the car.

You can now transfer calls seamlessly between devices, such as from your laptop to your mobile phone, without any interruption to the call. Learn more.

Chat & Collaboration

Headspace integration with Microsoft Viva Insights

During the COVID-19 pandemic, concerns about mental health have grown. Microsoft have partnered with Headspace to deliver a curated set of guided meditations and mindfulness exercises in the Viva Insights app to help you start your day grounded or unwind and disconnect from work in the evening.
