Calibre One are now proud to partner with Warrina Homes, a long term Calibre One customer, as the corporate sponsor in the rollout of Moove and Groove, a social enterprise business dedicated to improving the wellbeing of seniors via easy to use technology.
Who are Warrina Homes?
Warrina Homes provide a full spectrum of care that meets their community’s physical, spiritual and emotional needs. They were founded for philanthropic reasons and they firmly remain a not-for-profit community with all funds being applied to projects improving the lives of their valued Resident
Warrina Homes mission is to provide, in partnership with its Residents, independent living and residential care facilities that nurture individuality and wellbeing within a Christian environment.
Who are Moove and Groove?
Moove and Groove believe passionately in reinventing aging and assisting older adults to live full, engaging and joyful lives. Their mission is to improve the wellbeing of seniors around the world, through delivering immersive and joyful experiences. Every day.
“Moove & Groove have revolutionised care for our residents, especially those with dementia.” Georgene McNeil, Dementia Behavior Specialist and Practice Lead, Uniting NSW ACT.
Their carefully curated content and program keeps on growing, now offering over 1,000 podcasts, 350 music playlists and 30 radio stations so there is something for everyone. This program impacts hundreds of seniors every day and helping those living with dementia. Take, Jesse, for example.
Jesse was an isolated resident who did not care to leave his room. His carers were able to offer him music that he loved, based on the personal preference profile his family and staff members created using our platform. Jesse can be seen here listening and dancing to the music via Moove & Groove’s personal playlist and wireless headphone technology. He has responded incredibly well to this person-centred content approach and now leaves his room, participates in activities, and has meaningful connections with his carers.
How Calibre One Plans to Help
Calibre One, an IT managed Services company, was invited by Warrina Homes as a corporate sponsor of the program. For tech company Calibre One, this was a natural partnership in line with our own beliefs of providing technology that enhances lives of the people that use it.
Darren Gore, CEO of Calibre One, was able to witness firsthand the effect this technology had on transforming residents who suffered from dementia into happy, playful and youthful people.
“Calibre One is extremely excited to be partnering with Warrina Homes on this project. It was incredible to see the difference this technology made for their residents. Aged care is often considered last when it comes to all sorts of things, and technology acceptance quite often has it challenges in this space. To see a technology like Move and Groove have such strong acceptance, as well as immediate and positive outcomes, is a real winner from our viewpoint. We are excited to be part of this journey.”
Calibre One’s donation in to the program will fund 50% of the program initial costs. Calibre One is excited to be part of a life changing technology movement with both Warrina Homes and their residents.
