Are you a gambler?

Are you one of those people who want to put a few bucks every now and then to that horse, or that team? Whether you gamble once in a blue moon or every week, this post is for you.

It has been reported by Infosecurity Magazine that Chinese hackers linked to the state-backed group have been observed targeting gambling companies in southeast Asia.

Now, guess how the attackers targeted their victims? You guessed it! Through spear-phishing emails containing.DOCX files, which trigger a backdoor malware download if opened.

Once the malware is installed in the targeted computer, some post-exploitation tools were used by the group range grom password dumpers and clipboard stealers, code loaders and brute-forcing tools.

IF you gamble, just be safe. Keep an eye on unsolicited emails, mainly if they contain links and attachments, and keep your computer always protected.

And as always, be safe out there and until the next Malware Monday.
